Jetstar To Start Melbourne/Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City

Date:

Good news (and especially so for one world elite members)!

Jetstar is launching DIRECT flights to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) from Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD) come May 2017. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only carrier to fly non-stop between Vietnam and Australia.

Jestar is expecting to start flying the MEL- SGN route, 3 x times a week starting on the 10 May 2017

and

SYD – SGN route 4 x times weekly on the 11 May 2017.

The last I checked, special launch fares are ON SALE NOW from A$159* one way! However, these special fares are valid only today and it might be a little too late now… (Thu, 19 Jan 2017, from 12pm to midnight, AEDT) but all is not lost!

Nonetheless, there will be a sales fare starting tomorrow Fri, 20 Jan 2017 (in replacement of the ‘launch fares’) and the fares are going from A$199* one way! These will be valid for sale until Mon, 23 Jan 2017!
