Hotel Review: Conrad Singapore Centennial Suite

Date:

Why do you always stay there?

Many people have asked me that question over the years. The Conrad is probably one of the “oldest” hotels in this area and I would not deny that a complete refurbishment is long overdue.

That has not stopped me from making this place my preferred for many, many years. The reason being I always feel at home whenever I am here knowing that I will be looked after by many familiar faces.

Over the years, I have stayed in many rooms but as a Diamond Hilton Honors member, I do get the occassional suite upgrade and always look forward to saying in one of their Centennial Suites.

As you walk into the suite, you are greeted with soft tones of pastel colours that makes you feel relaxed immediately. A decent sized working desk, a comfortable lounge chair, a large TV….. all the comforts of home in timeless elegance!

There is always a fruit platter and a box of homemade chocolates awaiting you in all rooms albeit the chocolate in the suites are always double the size!

There is a door that separates the living area from the bedroom. The plush bed is always very inviting, but the Conrad teddy makes it all the more welcoming!

The bathroom looks very similar to the rest of the hotel but is probably double in size. Double basins makes life easier for couples to get ready for the day at the same time but the usual Aromatherapy amenities makes it hard to shower or bath!

Whilst I did not dine at the restaurants, this hotel has an amazing buffet restaurant (Oscars) and a a fine-dining Chinese restaurant (Golden Peony). It also has a decent sized swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness centre. The location is hard to beat so it will be a while before I decide to switch.

By the way, my rumours have it that there will be some refurbishments going on in the coming months! I cannot wait to visit Conrad Singapore again once the upgrade is over. See you again soon Conrad!
