Low-cost long-haul carrier Scoot and sister company Tigerair Singapore are merging and these are what you need to know right now.
1. Scoot and Tigerair have been working to integrate their reservation systems, flight schedules and connections, conditions of carriage, check-in counters and call centres since May last year. You can manage all your Tigerair and Scoots’ reservations at Flyscoot.com.
2. The integration process has been completed and Tigerair will be operating under the Scoot umbrella from 25 July 2017. I presume that Tigerair operations will follow that of Scoot’s.
3. If you have already been booked on Tigerair flights, do not panic. Flight schedules remain unchanged and even if they do, you will be informed of your updated itinerary. So make sure your contact details are up-to-date with your travel agency.
4. From 25 July 2017 onwards, there will no longer be Tigerair check-in counters. Instead, look for Scoot check-in counters at the airport.
