AirAsia Flying Tribute

Date:

At the airport’s bookstore today, I flipped open a magazine and saw this picture of a very distinctive livery on an AirAsiaX A330. It was a special tribute to the late Anaz Ahmad Tajudin, the airline’s previous COO who died of cancer earlier this year. Anaz had great respect from within the company and was especially credited for his role in bringing AirAsiaX to the USA with the recently launched Kuala Lumpur – Osaka Kansai – Honolulu flights.

AirAsia has certainly seen massive growth over the years under the leadership of its’ founder, Tony Fernandes. It’s always very heartwarming to see a great boss acknowledge the contributions of their employees and I cannot think of a more public and better way of acknowledging one than this!
