The oneworld Alliance Lounge at Seoul-Incheon International Airport (ICN) is the alliance’s first-ever branded airport lounge. It opened in Terminal 1, near Gate 28 (4th floor). Take the escalator up and oneworld lounge is opposite KAL’s lounge. The entrance has a futuristic design and it is pretty cool.
Here are some key details:
Size and Features:
The lounge spans 555 square meters and accommodates up to 144 customers. The lounge is airy and bright with plenty of seats.
Eligibility
The lounge is open daily for oneworld Emerald and Sapphire customers departing from Seoul on oneworld flights, as well as First and Business Class customers traveling with oneworld member airlines.
Buffet
The lounge offers a diverse selection of food, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality. While it wasn’t extensive, it was adequate, especially considering the lounge’s size didn’t meet ‘flagship’ standards.
Full-Service Bar:
Quench your thirst with beverages. The addition of a liquor bar to the lounge is a delightful touch.
Private Shower Facilities:
Freshen up before your flight.
As I stepped into the oneworld Flagship Lounge at Seoul-Incheon International Airport, I was immediately struck by its elegant ambiance. The blend of traditional Korean elements with modern design created a soothing atmosphere—a welcome respite from the bustling airport terminals.
The lounge wasn’t sprawling, but it felt intimate and well-curated. The glass art installations caught my eye, their colors dancing in the natural light. I found a cozy corner near the floor-to-ceiling windows, where I could watch planes taxiing on the runway while sipping my specialty coffee.
The buffet spread wasn’t extensive, but it was thoughtfully curated. From Korean delicacies to international favorites, there was something for every palate. I sampled a bit of everything—the savory bibimbap, the delicate sushi rolls, and the decadent chocolate mousse. It wasn’t a grand feast, but it was satisfying, especially considering the lounge’s size.
And then there was the liquor bar—a sleek corner adorned with premium spirits. I opted for a glass of champagne, raising it in a silent toast to my next flight. The bartender wasn’t the friendliest but – Korean Hospitality – you get me.
