The future of Asiana (OZ) airline is uncertain, as it has been acquired by Korean Air, and it is unknown how long it will continue to operate independently. As far as I know, the airline had been acquired by Korean Air and acquisition was completed in July 2020. However, in January of this year, I was able to redeem my Frequent Flyer miles for a flight between Osaka and Seoul on OZ. Although it was just a short regional flight, I want to document this experience for posterity, as Asiana’s fate is likely to be sealed soon.
Asiana Airlines’ business class between Incheon and Osaka was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I was greeted with warm and friendly service from the flight attendants. The seating in the business class cabin was spacious, with plenty of legroom and a comfortable reclining chair. The seat also had a personal entertainment system with a wide selection of movies and TV shows to choose from.
The food and beverage service was okay, with a two options to choose from. I picked the grilled beef option. The taste was as good as it looked in the picture (haha). The drinks selection included a range of wines, spirits, and soft drinks.
One thing that stood out to me was the excellent service provided by the flight attendants. They were attentive and accommodating, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout the short flight.
Overall, I had a great experience flying Asiana Airlines’ business class between Incheon and Osaka. The comfortable seating, great food and beverage service, and excellent service from the flight attendants made for a truly enjoyable flight.
