Hotel Review: Hilton Sydney

0

Whilst Australia has recently fully reopened to the world, I had the privilege of staying at the newly renovated Hilton Sydney, before the full reopening of the borders. The hotel had a major makeover just before Covid hit and then it became one of the best hotel quarantine facility in the city over for the past (nearly) two years.

Hilton Sydney is located right in the heart of the city and has tram access just outside its doors, and a train station within a minute’s walk away. Dining options are aplenty and you don’t have go far at all for some serious retail therapy!

As a Diamond Honors member, the hotel very generously upgraded me to a huge one bedroom suite for this stay.

Sadly, the Executive Lounge on Level 36 was not given a makeover. Whilst it is rough on the edges, it was a very large and comfortable lounge with some magnificent views of the city. Breakfast is served at the main restaurant but the evening cocktail is presented at the lounge.

Breakfast is served at the main restaurant, Glass Brasserie. I opted for the full buffet and I was not disappointed. It has been way too long since I last had a self-serve buffet thanks to the Covid restrictions in Australia for nearly two years!
