Lounge Review: Pearl Lounge, Casablanca International Airport

Pearl Lounge Morocco

This is another pre-lockdown trip that took place in the latter part of 2019.

Casablanca may not necessarily be high on the list for most leisure travelers but it sure is a very busy financial hub in the African continent. We spent a day here after several magical days in Marrakech on our way back to Europe. If there is only one sight any traveler must see, it is the Hassan Mosque by the bay, especially at sunset.

Casablanca International Airport is located quite a distance from the CBD and it took us a good 45 minutes to get there and that is with absolutely no traffic! It is not the flashiest of airport but practical and straightforward it is. As Royal Air Maroc was not a OneWorld member, we had no choice but to use the common lounge which is open to Priority Pass holders.

The Pearl Lounge is located on the international departures level, not too far from our gate. I would advise against planning to purposefully spend much time here as it is a very small lounge with very limited food offerings and facilities. Having said that, it is still a comfortable place to sit back and relax before a flight.

As usual, I will let the photos do the talking…
