If you know me well enough, you’ll know that I hardly ever rant about Hilton Honors, after all, it is my favourite programme. What’s not to like about it when you’re always treated well?!
Until today… Hilton has recently revamped their website. I am loving the new fonts but hating the new booking system! Arggghhhh!!!
I have just tried to book a reward stay and although the full 60,000 points was deducted, the confirmation showed it as being a “Points & Money” booking. It’s a cool new way to using your HH points!
Another cool function of the website is the live chat button!
Mind you, the rate was higher than Best Available so I knew then there must have been a technical issue! So, I tried calling the call centre to have this booking corrected. It sure was the worst decision of the day because I have just wasted 53 minutes of my life getting nothing done! The agent did say that they are experiencing technical issues but couldn’t she have told me that from the very start? Not happy!
Moral of the story – please do not roll out a new website without testing it again, and again, and again…
